The beach is surrounded by extensive dune fields formed by strong west winds. Access is easy through the ALP-202 road, it has parking and basic cleaning and security services. Its degree of use is low, being an optimal beach for lovers of silence and tranquility. Next to it is the Hermitage of Torre García, a sanctuary of veneration to the Virgen del Mar, patron saint of Almería. An old Roman salting factory recently excavated is located on this beach. It is the first beach of the Natural Park from the Poniente. They are found around the beach, Roman vestiges III century BC. JC: the most important Roman salting factories on the peninsula and the Jujube (ancient Roman freshwater well that resembles a stone tower) the best preserved in the park.
