Highway: From San José there is a dirt road to Cala Higuera

Small stone cove with excellent environmental conditions. Very easy access from San José through an unpaved track that ends in a small parking lot. You have to go to San José and at the entrance of the town turn left along a dirt track that leads to this cove. It is surrounded by a group of houses. Despite its proximity to San José, this has always been a very quiet place. It has a seabed of extraordinary beauty for scuba diving. It has few services and is recommended for people fleeing the hustle and bustle. Next to it is the Cueva del Tabaco, a very attractive hollow excavated in white sedimentary rock, a beautiful place to dive. Beach belonging to the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Maritime Terrestrial Natural Park. It has recently been declared a Biosphere Reserve. Access to the beach can be easily done on foot, by car or by boat.
